A lifelong writer, Charisse found healing in words using poetry and storytelling to make sense of a chaotic childhood, cultivating communication skills that led to the first creative thesis in gender studies at Amherst College and a career connecting the dots across disciplines. As an entrepreneur and marketing strategist, she contributed to multiple ventures—from a vegetarian cafe to a dance business—before launching Claim Your Message, a copy and content agency helping purpose-driven leaders share their gifts and attract aligned clients and opportunities.
